Eugene Tupuola remains in police cellblock tonight after being arrested on Friday night on charges of attempted murder.

The 40-year-old man was arrested at 11:30 p.m. Friday in Kapolei. Honolulu police say he showed up at a party on June 4 where his estranged wife was attending. He asked to speak to her and they began to argue.
A relative came out to diffuse the situation, but was unable to calm the couple. Tupuola allegedly brandished a handgun and fired one round through a window, police said.
