NEW YORK — Johan Santana was way off track in the Subway Series.

Derek Jeter and the New York Yankees hammered Santana in the worst start of his career, routing the Mets, 15-0, yesterday for the biggest interleague blowout between the Big Apple rivals.

"Today was a terrible day and that's about it," said Santana, who allowed nine runs in three innings. "I didn't locate my fastball today the way it's supposed to be located."

Jeter went 4 for 4 and the Yankees got two-run homers from Hideki Matsui and Robinson Cano in a nine-run fourth inning, chasing Santana early to take two of three in a testy series at Yankee Stadium.

Mets closer Francisco Rodriguez shouted at Yankees reliever Brian Bruney in left field during batting practice and the two were separated by teammates. The confrontation came one day after Bruney and Rodriguez exchanged barbs through the media.

"It's over. Turn the page. That's it," Rodriguez said.

Once the first pitch was thrown, the Yankees provided all the fireworks.

They needed only four innings to set a season high for runs in a game, building a huge cushion for A.J. Burnett (5-3). They finished with 17 hits, three by No. 9 batter Francisco Cervelli, and pulled several stars before the seventh.

PHILLIES 11, RED SOX 6:

Jimmy Rollins homered as part of a six-run seventh inning to help host Philadelphia bust open the game late, avoid a three-game sweep and beat Boston. Rollins led off the seventh with a tiebreaking home run off Josh Beckett (7-3), Pedro Feliz added a two-RBI double, and Rollins was hit with a pitch and the bases loaded to make it 10-5.

ROCKIES 7, MARINERS 1:

Garrett Atkins and Todd Helton had three hits each and host Colorado beat Seattle to match the franchise record with its 11th straight win. Brad Hawpe doubled twice and Clint Barmes had two hits for Colorado, which has swept three straight series and is 13-4 under interim manager Jim Tracy.

ORIOLES 11, BRAVES 2:

Ty Wigginton hit two home runs, Robert Andino drove in three runs and stole home and Brad Bergesen (4-2) pitched his first complete game as host Baltimore won two of three games from Atlanta. Andino also pulled off Baltimore's first steal of home since May 23, 2007.

MARLINS 11, BLUE JAYS 3:

Ronny Paulino hit two home runs, Josh Johnson pitched his second complete game of the season and Florida swept the three-game series at Toronto. Johnson (6-1) gave up seven hits. He struck out six and walked three.

PIRATES 6, TIGERS 3:

Dontrelle Willis (1-4) walked eight in 3 2/3 innings, leading to all of Pittsburgh's scoring, and Robinzon Diaz drove in three runs as host Pittsburgh took two of three games from Detroit. Ross Ohlendorf (6-5) limited Detroit to one run and two hits over six innings.

WHITE SOX 5, BREWERS 4:

A.J. Pierzynski had a two-out, RBI single in the ninth inning off previously perfect Trevor Hoffman (0-1) and starter Mark Buehrle hit his first career home run as Chicago won two of three from host Milwaukee. Corey Hart homered twice and Casey McGehee added another solo shot for the Brewers.

RAYS 5, NATIONALS 4:

Pinch hitter Willy Aybar got a lucky bounce, doubling off the third base bag in the eighth inning, and host Tampa Bay completed a sweep of Washington. Aybar's one-out double off Ron Villone (3-3) scored Carlos Pena, who hit a leadoff double.

CUBS 3, TWINS 2:

Ryan Theriot drove in Derrek Lee with a bases-loaded single with one out in the ninth, and host Chicago beat Minnesota to snap a four-game losing streak. After Carlos Marmol (2-1) escaped a jam in the top of the ninth, the Cubs pulled it out in the bottom half and avoided a three-game sweep.

ROYALS 7, REDS 1:

Brian Bannister (5-3) gave up one unearned run in eight innings, Miguel Olivo homered and drove in four runs, and host Kansas City beat Cincinnati for a three-game sweep. Reds starter Johnny Cueto (6-4) lowered his NL-leading ERA to 2.17 despite the loss. All five runs against him were unearned after a pair of errors by third baseman Jerry Hairston Jr.

DODGERS 6, RANGERS 3:

Chad Billingsley (9-3) allowed three runs in seven innings to earn his National League-best ninth victory and Casey Blake drove in four runs as Los Angeles won two of three at AL West-leading Texas. ANGELS 6, PADRES 0:

ASTROS 8, DIAMONDBACKS 3:

Hunter Pence and Lance Berkman homered as Houston won two of three at Arizona. Brian Moehler (3-4) scattered six hits over six innings for the Astros. He allowed three runs and struck out two.
