Advertiser staff

If you think of only Transformers when you hear the word robots, then prepare to have your beliefs metamorphosed when you see what hatches at Pearlridge Center’s Uptown and Downtown Center Courts.

The 12th annual free summer educational will unveil the “Giant Insect Safari” on Saturday. The exhibit will present robotic insects (up to 600 times life-size) and other hands-on activities. Bugs that will be featured will include: Atlas Fighting Beetles, Lime Swallowtail Caterpillars, Chinese Praying Mantises and more.

The exhibit will be open during mall hours until Aug. 2.
