'Magic Storyteller' slated to perform for kids at library

Advertiser Staff

Yona Chock, "The Magic Storyteller," will be a featured performer at the Hawai'i State Library's "Saturday Storytime" on June 27 at 10:30 a.m. in the Edna Allyn Children's Room. Admission is free.

The Friends of the Library of Hawaii are sponsoring this event, which will celebrate the 2009 Children's Summer Reading Program.

Chock will blend her magic, storytelling and creative balloon sculpting, followed by a craft activity where children candesign their own balloon animals.

The 45-minute storytime is recommended for children 3 years and older, accompanied by a parent or caregiver.

Contact the library as soon as possible if a sign language interpreter or other special accommodation is needed.

The Hawai'i State Library is at 478 S. King St. For more information, call the Edna Allyn Children's Room at 586-3510.
