Lifeguards and Honolulu Fire Department personnel received a call of swimmers in distress this afternoon when three surfers were seen holding onto a buoy at Point Panic in Kewalo Basin.

Ocean Safety personnel brought in two of the surfers and searched briefly for the third man, who made it ashore on his own, said HFD Capt. Robert Main.

No one was injured. The call came in shortly before 2 p.m.
