Breezy trades and light showers likely today

A high pressure area far north of Hawaii will maintain moderate to locally strong trade winds through Tuesday, the National Weather Service said.

The high will move east for the last half of the week resulting in a little bit lighter trade winds, forecasters said.
Any passing showers will focus over windward and mauka areas of the state throughout the week.

Here’s a closer look at what to expect as the new work week begins:

Today: Isolated showers. Partly cloudy, with a high near 84. Breezy, with a east wind between 21 and 26 mph, with gusts as high as 34 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Tonight: Isolated showers. Partly cloudy, with a low around 75. Breezy, with a east wind between 22 and 24 mph, with gusts as high as 31 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Tuesday: Isolated showers. Partly cloudy, with a high near 84. Breezy, with a east wind between 22 and 25 mph, with gusts as high as 33 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Tuesday Night: Isolated showers. Partly cloudy, with a low around 75. East wind around 17 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Wednesday: Isolated showers. Partly cloudy, with a high near 84. East wind around 17 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Wednesday Night: Isolated showers. Partly cloudy, with a low around 75. East wind around 14 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
