Donating a pint of blood gets you a pint of ice cream

Advertiser Staff

For every pint of blood people donate during the Bloodbank of Hawai'i's drive on July 3, they'll be rewarded with a pint of something very different — ice cream.

Baskin-Robbins is offering coupons for free ice cream to encourage O'ahu residents to participate in one of the blood drives being held in Kailua or Kane'ohe.

The Dr. K.B. Chun and Sons, dental clinic, 444 Uluniu St., Kailua, will host its blood drive from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 45-150 Waikalua Road, Kane'ohe, will host its drive from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Dates are subject to change.

Donors must bring a valid photo ID with date of birth and be at least 18 years old or 17 with a signed consent form. They must also be in good health and weigh at least 110 pounds.

To make an appointment or get more information, visit www.bbh.org or call the Bloodbank of Hawai'i at 845-9966.
