Advertiser Staff

An 18-year-old man was arrested today in connection with the Tuesday robbery of the Bank of Hawaii Dillingham branch.

Dakota M.A. Williams, who gave no address, was booked on one count of second-degree robbery and remained in police custody pending charges.
Williams initially was arrested yesterday on suspicion of driving a stolen vehicle. Police arrested him at 3:45 p.m. on Keaahala Road in Käneçohe.
While in police custody, he was identified as a suspect in the bank robbery.
In that incident, a man entered the bank and handed a teller a demand note, police said. The robber fled with an undisclosed amount of cash and was last seen on Kalihi Street, police said.
The incident was the subject of a CrimeStoppers bulletin released Wednesday.
