Advertiser Staff

Pulitzer-prize winning poet W.S. Merwin, a resident of Maui, will be on the “Bill Moyers Journal” show tonight at 8:30 p.m. and on Sunday at 2 a.m. on PBS.

Merwin won his first Pulitzer in 1979 for his work, “The Carrier of Ladders” and again this year for his new book, “The Shadow of Sirius.”
Tonight Merwin will share his perspectives on a lifetime of literary achievements, read poems from his books, and will discuss topics from poetic inspirations to political engagements.
According to a press release by the Copper Canyon, “Merwin has established himself as one of the most influential poets of our time.”

Merwin’s nonprofit publisher Copper Canyon Press is offering free shipping through Tuesday for any of Merwin’s books purchased at www.coppercanyonpress.org using the coupon code Moyers.
