A former all-star Farrington High School football player was among four men charged yesterday with first-degree robbery for allegedly robbing a Honolulu business and threatening the clerk with a machete on Friday.

Charged were Skylawn Folaumahina, 19, Albert Mason, 20, Kendrick Ngiramau, 18, and Aovai Sula, 20.

Folaumahina made the 2008 Honolulu Advertiser Division I All-State second team as an offensive lineman for Farrington. He also made the 2008 Oahu Interscholastic Association Red Conference Eastern Division first team.

All four men are scheduled to appear in District Court today at 9 a.m. They are being held in lieu of $50,000 bail each.

Folaumahina and Ngiramau allegedly entered the business at 2:25 p.m. Friday and began chatting with the clerk, police said. Soon after, one of the other men with a red bandanna covering his face entered with a machete and demanded money.

Police said the men left in a vehicle driven by the fourth suspect.
