SOMERVILLE, N.J. — Former Rutgers quarterback Ryan Hart is suing the world’s leading interactive entertainment software company.

Hart alleges Electronic Arts used his likeness in its MCAA Football video game without his permission.
Hart quarterbacked for the Scarlet Knights from 2002 to 2005.
Troy Taylor, who played football at the University of California and was quarterback with the New York Jets from 1990 to 1991, is joining the suit. Taylor is a radio analyst for University of California football games.
Hart and Taylor claim the use of their likenesses was an invasion of privacy for commercial purpose.
The senior public relations manager for EA Sports says Electronic Arts, the NCAA and Collegiate Licensing Company have reviewed the complaint and don’t believe the claims have merit.
