Trade winds backing off through Friday

Light trades will diminish through Friday, allowing sea and land breezes to develop locally, the National Weather Service said.

Light windward showers will shift inland and leeward at times as well, forecasters said.
Trades and windward showers will rebuild over the weekend.

Here’s how the middle of the work week is shaping up:

Today: Mostly sunny, with a high near 85. East wind around 8 mph becoming south.

Tonight: A 20 percent chance of showers. Partly cloudy, with a low around 71. East wind between 7 and 9 mph.

Wednesday: A 20 percent chance of showers after noon. Partly cloudy, with a high near 85. East wind between 9 and 13 mph, with gusts as high as 18 mph.

Wednesday Night: A 20 percent chance of showers. Partly cloudy, with a low around 73. East wind around 10 mph.

Thursday: Isolated showers before noon. Partly cloudy, with a high near 85. East wind around 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 74. East wind around 10 mph.
