Whole Foods helping send culinary team to nationals

Advertiser Staff

Kapi'olani Community College's student culinary team hopes to raise money tomorrow to vie for a national championship during Whole Foods Market's "Community Support Day."

Five percent of net sales for the day at the grocery store's Kahala Mall location will be donated to help fund six students' trip to Orlando, Fla., to compete against four other teams at the American Culinary Federation National Convention in July.

Kapi'olani Community College captured the top prize at the regional championship for the first time in the college's history last April.

Individuals or organizations wishing to make a donation can contact director of development Linh Hoang at 734-9570.
