NANAKULI
Free movie event set at Nanaikapono Elementary

The Nanaikapono Community-School Museum plans a free outdoor presentation of the movie "Whale Rider" from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Wednesday at Nanaikapono Elementary School.

The first-ever Movie on The Mound event had originally been scheduled for mid-December, but was postponed because of heavy rainstorms.

Designed as a way for the community to get together two or three times a year and promote community relations, Movie on The Mound will continue as an ongoing series.

Families are invited to bring chairs and dinner. No coolers allowed.

Live entertainment will precede the movie at 6 p.m. Snack vendors will be available. Parking is free at the school, which is at 89-153 Mano Ave.
