Three girls suffer minor injuries on Kapa'a bypass road

Advertiser Staff

KAPA'A, Kaua'i – A four-car accident on the Kapa'a bypass road this afternoon resulted in minor injuries to three female juveniles, Kaua'i County reported.

The girls were taken to Wilcox Hospital, where they were treated and released.

The accident happened next to a construction site near the Calvary Chapel about 2:30 pm.

When a flagman signaled four Līhu'e-bound vehicles to stop, three vehicles responded, but the last one in line did not stop. That vehicle rear-ended the car in front it and caused a chain reaction.

The roadway was closed for about 45 minutes following the accident. It was reopened about 3:20 pm.
