Small craft advisory in effect through tomorrow

A small craft advisory remains in effect through 6 p.m. tonight for some channels, Maalaea Bay on Maui and waters south of the Big Island, meaning that boaters should expect winds of 25 to 33 knots and seas of 10 feet or greater, according to the National Weather Service.

Inexperienced boaters, especially those operating small vessels, should avoid waters during the advisory, the weather service warned.
