NFL: Another former Patriot comes to Kansas City

Associated Press

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City Chiefs have agreed to terms with wide receiver C.J. Jones, who spent time last season with the New England Patriots.

Terms of the deal were not announced Thursday.

Jones also has spent time with the Cleveland Browns, where he began his pro career in 2003, and on the practice squads of the Browns and Patriots. He spent one season with the Berlin Thunder of NFL Europe in 2006.

New general manager Scott Pioli has set about overhauling the Chiefs roster since coming over from the Patriots. He also has traded a second-round draft pick to New England for quarterback Matt Cassel and linebacker Mike Vrabel this offseason.
