Volunteers from the Navy and Air Force were at Aloha Stadium this afternoon, sorting Girl Scout cookies for delivery to scout troops around the island. The sweet treats go on sale tomorrow.

What can $4 buy in these tough economic times?

The Girl Scouts of Hawaii would like to interest you with a box of Thin Mints.

Or their other familiar annual treats — Samoas, Do-Si-Dos, Lemon Chalet Cremes, Trefoils, Sugar Free Chocolate Chips, Tagalongs and Dulce de Leches.

The cookies go on sale tomorrow (and until March 29) in front of retailers such as Longs, Wal-Mart and Kmart.

For information on other locations where you can pick up the sweet treats and support Girl Scout activities, go to www.girlscouts-hawaii.org/.
