Soccer: Reports: Deal reached for Beckham to stay at Milan

Associated Press

LONDON — British media are reporting that a deal has been reached allowing David Beckham to remain at AC Milan for the rest of the season.

Sky Sports News and the Press Association quote sources as saying that Beckham will stay through the Italian league season before returning to the Los Angeles Galaxy in the summer.

The reports say Beckham will play for the Galaxy between July and October and return to Milan next season.

The England midfielder has been on loan at Milan for two months and was due to return to the Major League Soccer team next week. Milan chairman Adriano Galliani said earlier this week that a deal allowing him to extend his stay was near.
