3.7 magnitude temblor shakes Big Island

A minor earthquake occurred at 2: 09 a.m. this morning on the Big Island, but there have not been any reports of damage,

The U.S. Geological Survey is reporting that the 3.7 magnitude earthquake centered in the vicinity of the Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park, about 27 miles from Hilo.

A Hilo fire department dispatcher reported that he hadn't even felt any shaking and had not had any reports of damage or injuries.

On Thursday a 1.8 magnitude earthquake was recorded at 11 p.m. in the same area, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
