The National Weather Service issued a high surf advisory at 7:22 a.m. this morning for the north-facing shores of Niihau, Kauai, Oahu, Molokai and Maui.

Surf of 12 to 16 feet is expected throughout today and into the night.

The advisory is expected to remain in effect until 6 a.m. Tuesday.
