Hawaii County police are asking for the public's help in locating a 17-year-old boy wanted for an outstanding juvenile detention order issued by Family Court in October 2008.

Ronsten K. Andrade is described as 5 feet 10 and 140 pounds with brown eyes and short hair last known to be brown but possibly dyed a different color.

Police are not disclosing the offenses that led to the issuance of the detention order. However, police advise the public to avoid approaching Andrade, as he is considered dangerous.

Police ask anyone who sees Andrade or has knowledge of his whereabouts to call Detective John Rodrigues at 961-2382 or the Police Department's non-emergency line at 935-3311. Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call CrimeStoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona. All CrimeStoppers information is kept confidential.
