Audition dates set for DHT's 'Dirty Rotten Scoundrels'

Auditions for the Hawaii premiere of Diamond Head Theatre's "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels" will be held at 7 p.m. March 27 and 2 p.m. March 28 and 29, the theater announced today.

Auditions will be held in the DHT Rehearsal Hall at 520 Makapuu Avenue.

Those auditioning should be prepared to sing (bring Broadway-style sheet music in your own key). An accompanist will be provided, and there are no transpositions on site, tapes, karaoke, or a capella allowed. Please also bring appropriate clothes and shoes that you can move/dance in. You may be asked to dance and/or read from the script.

Perusal scripts are available at the Diamond Head Theatre Box Office, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, scheduled to run from May 15-31. It is based on the popular 1988 film that centers on two con men living on the French Riviera. They find the town isn't big enough for both of them so they make a deal: the first one to extract $50,0000 from a young heiress gets to stay. A battle ensues that will keep audiences laughing and guessing.
