Romantic comedy films in Hawaii next week

Shooting is scheduled to start Monday on Oahu on a new Hawaii Film Partners production, "You May Not Kiss the Bride," which stars Dave Annable, Mena Suvari and Katharine McPhee.

Described as a "romantic adventure comedy" set in Chicago and Tahiti, the film will be shot entirely in Hawaii. It will be directed by Rob Hedden, who also wrote the screenplay.

Annable stars in the ABC TV series "Brothers and Sisters." Suvari starred in the "American Pie" movies and in "American Beauty." McPhee was a singing senation and a first-runner-up on "American Idol."

Hawaii Film Partners is the locally founded studio that created the popular Discovery Kids program, "Flight 29 Down," was filmed in Hawaii and currently airs in more than 100 countries
