CBKB: Razorback coach suspends player indefinitely

Associated Press

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Arkansas freshman Jason Henry has been suspended from the basketball team two days before the Razorbacks play in the Southeastern Conference tournament.

Coach John Pelphrey said in a news release Tuesday that the suspension stemmed from a violation of team rules. He did not elaborate.

Arkansas meets Florida on Thursday in the first round of the SEC.

Henry has played in 23 games, averaging 8.0 points. He scored a season-high 27 points against South Carolina in an 82-78 loss Feb. 21.

Henry was also suspended earlier this season.
