Golf clinic, workshop at Wailua

The Hawai'i State Junior Golf Association will hold a free college workshop and clinic at Kaua'i's Wailua Golf Course tomorrow.

A golf clinic will begin at 5:30 p.m. and will be led by Robbie Shaw, Western Kentucky alum, star of the Golf Channel's "Big Break X" and past Kaua'i Collegiate Cup Champion. The college workshop will follow at 7 p.m. and is open to the public.

Several coaches and players competing in this year's Kaua'i Collegiate Cup will participate in the event.

The Kaua'i Collegiate Cup tees off Friday at Wailua Golf Course. Teams participating are Western Kentucky, Georgia Southern, North Dakota State, Sam Houston State, East Tennessee State, Jackson State, Wayland Baptist, Lipscomb, South Carolina Upstate, Walters State, Hawai'i Pacific and Brigham Young-Hawai'i.

KICKBALL TOURNEY AT UH

The University of Hawai'i Strength and Conditioning program is holding a barefoot kickball tournament Saturday

Beginning at 9 a.m. at UH's grass practice field, the tournament format is double elimination, with a 45-minute time limit or a maximum of five innings.

The entry fee is $200 per team (minimum of 10 players), and $150 for teams made up of UH students and faculty.
