Small quakes continue to rumble on Big Island

Another small earthquake rumbled across the Big Island this morning.

The United States Geological Survey Earthquake Center assigned a preliminary magnitude of 3.0 to the latest temblor, which was recorded at 2:19 a.m.

The epicenter was about 10 miles north-northwest of Naaleahu.

There were no reports of injury or damage from the quake.

A total of 18 small to moderate earthquakes have been recorded on the Big Island during the past week, ranging in magnitude from 1.7 to 4.0.

Almost all of them have gone virtually unnoticed.
