Go Jimmy Go prepare for Hawaiian Punch 2009

By Advertiser staff

Local ska band Go Jimmy Go are on the go again as they prepare to take on Japan and Hong Kong.

The band's 2009 Hawaiian Punch tour kicks off Friday with a send-ff show at Anna Bannana's.

The foursome will return to Japan, where the local boys have a loyal cult following, and then continue for a first-time appearance in Hong Kong. The tour is to promote the band's fifth studio album. The self-titled album was released this month in Japan and will be released in Hawai'i and the rest of the United States in late summer or early fall.

Friday's show is $8 at the door for those 21 years old and older, and $10 for those ages 18 to 21. Doors open at 9 p.m.
