The deadline for the Aloha Section PGA Foundation Scholarship Program has been extended to March 24. The program is designed "to encourage and promote the attainment of higher educational goals for high school seniors and current college students who have actively participated in the game of golf and have excelled in their academic achievements."

Last year, four senior high school and college scholar athletes and four Aloha Section PGA apprentices earned scholarships totaling $14,500.

Applicants must be Hawai'i residents with financial need who have completed or plan to complete high school by June 30, attend or plan to attend an accredited two- or four-year college or university, and be a full-time student. For information, call the Aloha Section at 593-2230.
