Help sought in finding Big Island man

The Hawaii Police Department is requesting the public's help in locating a man wanted for questioning in connection with several burglary investigations in the Hilo area.

Safune Kaleo Pola, 22, is also wanted on three outstanding bench warrants for contempt of court.

He is described as being 5-foot-8, about 180 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen on March 12 at Boiling Pots State Park, where he eluded officers' attempts to capture him. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and dark pants.

Police ask anyone with information on his whereabouts to call Lieutenant Mitchell Kanehailua at 961-2252 or the Police Department's non-emergency line at 935-3311.

Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona. All Crime Stoppers information is kept confidential.
