AIRPORT
3 viaduct lanes to close Sunday, Tuesday-Friday

The three left-most lanes of the west-bound H-1 Freeway viaduct between the airport onramp and the Kamehameha Highway/Aloha Stadium/Arizona Memorial offramp will be closed from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday.

Meanwhile, the three left-most lanes of the viaduct east-bound from the Hickam Air Force Base offramp to the airport offramp will be closed from 6 p.m. to 5 a.m. daily from Tuesday night through Friday morning.

The closures will allow the state Department of Transportation to conduct concrete pavement repair work.

All on-and-off-ramps will remain open during construction hours. Single-lane closures may also be implemented on Nimitz Highway below the viaduct as a safety precaution during these hours.

To minimize vibrations along the viaduct while the concrete cures, the speed limit near the repair area will be reduced to 15 mph. Special duty police officers will be there to enforce this speed limit.
