AUBURN, Ind. — A former DeKalb softball coach and elementary school teacher faces charges alleging that he kissed and inappropriately touched a 17-year-old student.

Steven Harp was arrested Thursday on a child seduction charge. Court documents allege that he touched and kissed the girl over nine months ending in January.

Police began investigating 56-year-old Harp in January. That's the same month he retired as coach and as an elementary physical education teacher.

Detectives say they found e-mails he sent to the girl detailing an ongoing romantic relationship.
