The Hawaii Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America is accepting entries from local public relations, communications and marketing professionals for the annual Koa Anvil Awards competition.

The competition is open to both PRSA members and nonmembers, and the deadline to enter is May 1.

The awards recognize outstanding public relations programs, while encouraging improved public relations performance and techniques. Winners will be recognized at the annual Koa Anvil Awards banquet held at the Sheraton Waikiki on July 16.

Entrants are encouraged to submit entries for multiple categories and submit early. The 2009 award categories, rules and forms can be viewed or downloaded at www.prsahawaii.com.
