Viloria's IBF light flyweight title bout moved to April 19

Brian Viloria's International Boxing Federation light flyweight title bout has been pushed back to April 19, his manager Gary Gittelsohn confirmed.

Gittelsohn said the bout, which was originally scheduled to match Viloria with IBF champion Jose Ulises Solis on March 21 in the Philippines, was rescheduled for April 19 at the request of the promotion's sponsors.

For budgeting purposes, Gittelsohn said the sponsors needed the card to take place in the second quarter of the fiscal year.

Viloria, a Waipahu native, is 24-2 with 14 knockouts and has won five bouts in a row since his loss in a World Boxing Council light flyweight championship fight against Edgar Sosa in 2007.

Solis, from Guadalajara, Mexico, is 28-1 with 20 knockouts.

"Brian has been working very hard and knows what is at stake in this fight," Gittelsohn said.
