You have to head west to go "Into the Woods" at the Performing Arts Center of Kapolei.

The musical pulls together several Brothers Grimm fairy tales to cover themes like growing up, parents and children, accepting responsibility, morality, wish fulfillment and its consequences. The characters are drawn from "Little Red Riding Hood," "Jack and the Beanstalk," "Rapunzel" and "Cinderella," but also include an original story involving a baker and his wife's quest to start a family.

The production is directed by Meagan Olson, with musical direction from Angela Morales of Na Leo.

You can catch the show tonight or next Saturday at 7:30 p.m. for $6. Other showings include Family Night on Thursday at 6:30 p.m., featuring $3 tickets and the Scholarship Dinner Show Friday, which begins with dinner from Auntie Pasto's at 6 p.m. for $25.

For reservations, call 258-7313 or visit www.packapolei.org.
