The Royal Mausoleum at Maunaala at 2261 Nuuanu Avenue will host a program celebrating the birthday and life of Prince Jonah Kuhio Kalanianaole at 9 a.m. Thursday.

Formal invitations have been extended to Hawaiian civic clubs, royal societies, and others. The general public is invited to attend.

The one-hour program will include musical selections known as "Kuhio songs," either composed by, about or for Prince Kuhio, and performed by vocalist Nina Kealiiwahamana and instrumentalist/conductor Aaron Mahi.

Princess Abigail Kinoiki Kekaulike Kawananakoa, heir to the Kalakaua throne, will offer remarks on the life of Prince Kuhio and the contributions he made to all of Hawaii's people.

Parking is available at the adjacent Nuuanu Cemetery and Honolulu Memorial Park, or Oahu Cemetery across Nu'uanu Avenue.
