Water conditions hazardous for small craft

A Small Craft Advisory remains in effect for all islands, according to the National Weather Service.

Northwest and windward waters on Kaua'i are affected as well as windward waters on O'ahu and Maui County.

On the Big Island leeward and southeast waters are affected.

Other waters under the advisory are Kaua'i, Kaiwi, Pailolo and Alenuihaha channels, and Maalaea Bay.

The advisory will remain in effect until 6 a.m. Friday.

A Small Craft Advisory is issued when winds are 25 to 33 knots and/or seas are 10 feet or greater that can create hazardous conditions for small vessels and inexperience mariners.

Small crafts should stay out of the water under these conditions, the weather service advised.
