Small craft advisory remains in effect

A Small Craft Advisory remains in effect for most of the islands water until tomorrow morning.

A strong high pressure far northeast of the islands will supply fresh to strong trade winds for at least the next several days, the National Weather Service said.

An extensive fetch of easterly winds south of the high will keep wind generated waves and seas elevated, the weather service said. Combine this with a small northwest swell and the results in many marine areas is seas of 10 feet or greater, the weather service said.

The advisory is expected to last until 6 a.m. tomorrow.
