Services, a benefit concert and a march against domestic violence have been planned in memory of Royal Kaukani.

Kaukani, 25, was shot and killed last week as she sat in her sport utility vehicle on a street in an 'Ewa neighborhood. Her former boyfriend has been charged in her killing.

Family representatives said a funeral for Kaukani has been scheduled for April 6 at the New Hope Leeward branch at the Waipahu Town Center; visitation with family will be from 5 to 7 p.m., followed by a service.

An all-day benefit concert with all proceeds going to the Royal K. Kaukani Memorial Fund and the Hawaii State Coalition Against Domestic Violence, has been set for Sunday at the Makaha Resort lu'au grounds from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. No alcohol or coolers allowed. Presale tickets are available by calling Kanani at 220-0767 or Robert at 778-7302. Tickets at the door are $15. Children under 2 are admitted free.

The March Against Domestic Violence is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Tuesday beginning at the state Capitol and proceeding makai along Punchbowl Street toward Halekauwila Street.

Donations to the Royal K. Kaukani Memorial Fund may be made at any Bank of Hawaii branch.
