NFL: Vikings re-sign DL Grigsby

Associated Press

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. — The Minnesota Vikings have re-signed backup defensive lineman Otis Grigsby to a one-year deal.

Grigsby was one of five restricted free agents heading into the offseason. The team did not extend him a qualifying offer, but ultimately decided to bring him back. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Grigsby was active for nine games last season and started once. He was signed off the Carolina Panthers practice squad in 2007 and has one sack in 16 games over the last two seasons.

The signing means the Vikings have retained all five of their restricted free agents, including cornerback Charles Gordon, defensive tackle Fred Evans, fullback Naufahu Tahi and defensive end Jayme Mitchell.
