Preps: State tennis championship seeds

Punahou received three top seeds for next week's Hawai'i High School Athletic Association state tennis championships.

The tournament is scheduled for Wednesday through Saturday at Patsy T. Mink Central O'ahu Regional Park.

Punahou's Kristin Lim is the top seed in girls singles and will be going after her fourth state title. She won the last two singles titles and won a doubles title in 2006. Teammates Ashley Nakaoka and Jennifer Laws are seeded first in girls doubles. Nakaoka won a girls double title last year with a different teammate.

The Punahou girls have won the state team title since 2003.

Matthew Westmoreland of Island Pacific Academy in Kapolei is the top seed in boys singles. Punahou's Erik Pang and Hiroshi Hikida are the top seed in boys doubles. The Punahou boys have won the state team title since 1991.
