Light winds mean voggy conditions for a couple of days

Dry weather with light winds and volcanic haze are expected over the next couple of days, according to the National Weather Service forecast for Hawaii.

Light trade winds are expected to return in the middle of the week, removing the haze and bringing back isolated windward and mauka showers, forecasters said.

Here's how things stand as the new work week begins:

Today — Widespread haze. Mostly sunny, with a high near 84. North wind at 6 mph becoming south.

Tonight — Widespread haze. Mostly clear, with a low around 66. Northeast wind around 8 mph.

Tomorrow — Mostly sunny, with a high near 84. Northeast wind 5 to 8 mph becoming south.

Tomorrow night — Partly cloudy, with a low around 68. East wind around 10 mph.

Wednesday — Isolated showers. Partly cloudy, with a high near 83. East wind around 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Wednesday night — Isolated showers. Partly cloudy, with a low around 69. East wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
