Big Island police charge Kona man with marijuana offenses

Hawaii County police have charged a Kailua, Kona, man with marijuana offenses.

On Thursday, vice investigators served a search warrant on a vehicle belonging to 33-year-old Nathan Clark.

Police recovered nearly 40 ounces (2½ pounds) of dried marijuana having a street value of more than $9,000. They also seized more than $6,800 in cash for forfeiture.

Clark was charged with one count each of commercial promotion of marijuana, promoting a detrimental drug and drug paraphernalia. His bail was set at $11,000.
