Mini-chairs made of champagne corks to be on display
Hawai'i is the last stop for a display of 50 faux chairs that were entered in a national competition sponsored by the home furnishings chain, Design Within Reach.
Every year Design Within Reach holds a champagne chair competition in which entrants build a miniature chair with only the foil, label cage and cork from no more than two champagne bottles. A display of the 50 finalists, including the three winning chairs, will open May 15 at the Ala Moana Design Within Reach store, 1450 Ala Moana, Space 2414.
