Hawaii weather: Vog to hang around awhile

Light winds and a dry air mass will prevail over the next week or so, according to the National Weather Service forecast for Hawaii.

Expect daytime sea breezes with cloud buildups inland by day, and land breezes with clearing at night, forecasters said.

Volcanic haze from Kilauea probably will continue affecting the smaller islands.

Here's how the rest of the work week is shaping up:

Today: Isolated showers after noon. Widespread haze. Partly cloudy, with a high near 83. Calm wind becoming south around 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Tonight: Widespread haze. Mostly clear, with a low around 71. East wind between 3 and 6 mph.

Thursday: Isolated showers after noon. Widespread haze. Partly cloudy, with a high near 83. East wind around 6 mph becoming south. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Thursday Night: Widespread haze. Mostly clear, with a low around 71. East wind between 6 and 8 mph.

Friday: Isolated showers after noon. Widespread haze. Partly cloudy, with a high near 83. South wind around 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Friday Night: Widespread haze. Mostly clear, with a low around 70. East wind around 7 mph.
