Big Island police seek missing Kealakekua woman

Hawaii County police say Everdina Malasig was last seen Monday leaving Keahole Airport.

HILO — Hawaii County police are asking the public's help in finding a 48-year-old Kealakekua woman who failed to return home Monday.

Everdina Malasig was last seen at about 1 p.m. Monday leaving the Keahole Airport on foot. She was wearing a black dress and no shoes.

She suffers from a medical condition and may require medication. She is described as 5 feet 1, about 125 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

Police ask that anyone with information on her whereabouts call Officer Sheldon Nakamoto or Officer Tyler Prokopec at 326-4646, extension 253, or the Police Department's non-emergency line at 935-3311.

Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona. All Crime Stoppers information is kept confidential.
