Henry Kapono's Mother's Day song available for free download

Grammy-nominated and multi-Na Hoku Award winning musician Henry Kapono is set to unveil a special Mother's Day song at the 2009 Mother's Day Brunch With the Stars Sunday, but fans can download the song for free atenrykapono.com/new_song_mommy_download.asp.

The Mother's Day Brunch with the Stars is being held at the JW Marriott Ihilani Resort at Ko Olina Sunday. Doors open at 9 a.m.and the concert follows at 10 a.m.

Kapono wrote the song especially for the event and will perform his newest musical rendition with former American Idol contestant Camile Velasco.

The name of the song is "Mommy" and Kapono said he was inspired to write it "by watching my two-and-a-half-year-old twins and thinking about how much they love their mother, how much I loved my mother and how important mothers are to who we become."

The entertainment lineup also includes veteran vocalist Yvonne Elliman, local guitarist John Cruz, and the outrageous comedy of Da Braddahs. Comedian Kaleo Pilanca serves as emcee.

This year, Hawaii Pacific Entertainment has partnered with The Honolulu Advertiser and McDonald's of Hawaii to honor five of Hawaii's MomsLikeMe.com Hall of Famers.

Tickets are $75, $85 and children 12-years-old and under are half price. Golden circle tickets are available for $125 per person.
