2 suspect cases confirmed as swine flu in Hawaii

Two more adults have been confirmed as suffering from swine flu, the state Department of Health announced today.

Swine flu, known as novel H1N1 Influenza A, has now been confirmed in five O'ahu residents — four adults and a school-age child.

In the two new adult cases, neither patient had a history of recent travel outside of the state, health officials said.

One is recovering at home and remained in self-isolation for the duration of the illness. The second case was a close contact of the first individual and is also recovering and receiving care at home.
