Wednesday, May 6 — The day started off with us heading to the 2009 Western Athletic Conference banquet on the campus of Fresno State.

Upon arrival, we were directed to our tables which, ironically, were right between our biggest rivals — Nevada and Fresno State.

The brunch consisted of a salad, chicken, fruit, rolls and a pasta that some of the girls called "rasta pasta" because the noodles were red, yellow, and green.

The award ceremony started, and big congratulations to all the Rainbow Wahine who received awards!

After the banquet, it was back to the hotel for a quick team meeting and a study hall before the game.

After study hall, we went to eat at the only place within walking distance, which was Quiznos.

I haven't been there in a while, and was shocked to see how long the torpedo sandwich was. You could poke an eye out with that bread!

After a quick pre-game meal, we headed to Fresno for our game against Louisiana Tech.

We knew it was going to be a dog fight, and unfortunately the fight went to LaTech.

Even though we lost the first game of the double-elimination tournament, we just reminded ourselves that we are still in this together and we have to play like there is no tomorrow.

To bring a smile to my face, my neighbor, Jocelyn, voluntarily let us lock her in the doorway that connects our rooms. It was pretty funny to hear her freak out as she was unable to get out on her own. One Love Jocie!

Getting back to softball, tomorrow is a brand new day and we will play with "No Fear & No Doubt!" (Quotes courtesy of the chess master.)

One Love & Aloha,

Tanisha
