Some H-1 lanes near viaduct to be closed during repairs

The three left-most westbound lanes of the H-1 Freeway airport viaduct from the airport on-ramp to the Kamehameha Highway/Aloha Stadium/Arizona Memorial off-ramp will be closed from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday for concrete pavement repair work.

The three left-most eastbound lanes of the viaduct from the Hickam Air Force Base off-ramp and the airport off-ramp will be shut down from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly from Monday through Friday.

All on-ramps and off-ramps will remain open during construction hours.

To minimize vibrations along the viaduct while the concrete cures, the speed limit near the repair area will be reduced to 15 mph.

Westbound motorists may want to consider alternate routes, including Moanalua Freeway or Nimitz Highway under the H-1 airport viaduct.
